December 2018 was a month full of grace, also for EIACC. In the first week of December the Company reached a new milestone by establishing a solid and extensive cooperation with BUMP and local government of Central Java. We started with a productive meeting and discussion on Monday (12/3) with DR. Warsito, DR. Edi S. Waluyo and Prof Winugroho in Solo, Central Java. Representing EIACC, Chairman Walter Bailey, Mayla and Director Frans briefed DR. Warsito, a special expert staff of the Central Java Governor, on EIACC: its vision and mission to build an integrated cattle industry in Indonesia. As a human rights activist in Indonesia during Soeharto regime in 1990s, DR Warsito who was once arrested and jailed by the Soeharto regime because of supporting Central Java farmers around Kedungombo Dam, supported the EIACC vision and mission to do philantrophy through a profitable and sustainable business. On Wednesday (12/5) we met the Central Java Governor, Ganjar Pranowo, a young, smart and energetic PDIP (the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle) politician who just started his second and last term as Central Java Governor. He won the election by a landslide victory of 75%. After introduction by Prof Winugroho and explanation by EIACC Chairman Walter, the governor stressed the fast implementation of EIACC - Seknas BUMP program, saying that the longstanding sistership between Central Java Province and Queensland State of Australia has been stalled because of no action. ‘Let’s not wait for the ministries of the national government for implementing the sistership program. We, the Central Java province, should take lead and action, “ said Ganjar. The Central Java Governor told the EIACC and Seknas BUMP that he will be glad to visit Brisbane and to meet the Queensland Premier after the EIACC- Seknas BUMP have done several activities such as beef / live cattle trading and training. The next day in the site of BUMP in Wonogiri a special ceremony was held attended by the Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs DR Darmin Nasution and the Central Java Governor and directors from many state-owned banks and financial institutions Around 2000 people from BUMP in Java, Kalimantan, NTT. Sumatera and Malaysia attended the ceremony in which banks gave special loans for farmers and cattle breeders. The Coordinating minister also inaugurated a BUMP Training Center for Cattle Breeders and Farmers which will be located in Wonogiri, Central Java. There was also an exhibition showcasing various programs and activities of BUMP farmers and cattle breeders supported by various banks and institutions. EIACC had a big backdrop and banner showing EIACC extensive networks in Australia and Indonesia. Pada hari Rabu (5 Desember 2018) EIACC dan Seknas BUMP menemui Gubernur Jawa Tengah Ganjar Pranowo di kediaman resminya. Gubernur Ganjar adalah seorang politisi muda Partai Demokrasi Indonesia Perjuangan (PDIP) yang cerdas dan penuh semangat, serta baru saja memulai masa jabatan keduanya 2018-2023 setelah memenangkan Pilkada dengan kemenangan besar.
Setelah Prof Winugroho memperkenalkan rombongan EIACC dan Seknas BUMP dan penjelasan oleh Chairman EIACC Walter K Bailey, Gubernur Ganjar menyampaikan sejumlah harapannya, terutama agar segera direalisasikan semua rencana program yang telah disampaikan dengan harapan inia akan menjadi langkah awal terlaksananya secara nyata kerjasama antara Provinsi Jawa Tengah dan Negara Bagian Queensland yang lama tanpa kegiatan “ Kita hendaknya tidak tergantung dan hanya menunggu kegiatan dari Kementerian terkait di Jakarta. Kita yang di Jawa Tengah harus mengambil prakarsa, “ tegas Gubernur Ganjar. Selanjutnya Gubernur Ganjar juga menyatakan bahwa dia akan senang berkunjung ke Brisbane dan bertemu dengan Premier Queensland setalah EIACC dan Seknas BUMP melakukan serangkaian kegiatan perdagangan sapi hidup dan daging sapi serta mengirim para pemuda untuk mendapatkan pelatihan peternakan dan pertanian di Queensland. EIACC showcased at the GFIA conference in Brisbane; outlining their plans to bring the latest technology to Indonesia.

The team spent 8 days in QLD attending over a dozen meetings concerning Federal and State Governments, companies that can build a Full Vertically Integrated Beef production infrastructure system, plus they signed agreements for long term beef supply and long term Live Breeder supply to Indonesia. Additionally they had a precursory look at the Horticulture systems and the latest Technology available in Queensland. The outcome of all the meetings was way above all exceptions. EIACC has been planning this process for over 4 years, spent considerable time and money, pushing hard to find the right team, the right Government people in all levels in Australia and Indonesia, finding the right team of highly skilled highly experienced Industry people in Australia. Sourcing people in two countries with vastly different cultures laws and religion who have natural Depth Strength Vision Intelligence and are on the same page is not easy. With Indonesia getting close to 6% Growth as a norm, becoming more stable, getting its house in order, engaging in the world, not letting its great culture be hijacked or destroyed by other countries or by terrorists, they are on track for a great and successful future.
